Kanishka tragedy independent investigation report by PLS (NZ)

An independent presentation by the Punjab Liberation Society (NZ) demanding accountability, declassified intelligence, and a thorough United Nations inquiry into the 1985 Air India Flight 182 tragedy.

Uncovering the truth for 329 innocent lives

The 1985 Air India Flight 182 tragedy took 329 innocent lives, leaving decades of unanswered questions. The Punjab Liberation Society (NZ) strongly advocates for a renewed international probe scrutinising potential Indian state involvement, foreign interference, and intelligence manipulation. Real justice demands that state authorities are not exempt from scrutiny and that all intelligence files are made transparent.

Key inquiries, evidence, and documentary records

Our independent review builds upon findings from the Commission of Inquiry led by former Supreme Court of Canada Justice John C. Major, released on 17 June 2010. Synthesising evidence from investigative documentary records such as Wonderdocs, podcasts by the Punjab Human Rights Organisation (PHRO), and reports from Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the dossier documents critical lapses and potential clandestine state interference.

Demanding a UN inquiry and ending false narratives

For decades, false propaganda has weaponised the Kanishka tragedy to criminalise peaceful self-determination and stigmatise the wider Sikh community. PLS (NZ) appeals to international bodies and Five Eyes partners for an independent UN inquiry to expose state-sponsored manipulation. We urge all visitors to examine this report and share it across global social media platforms to expose state propaganda.
