Subject: A Communiqué to the Global Sikh Community on the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Khanda
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
Today, the global Sikh Panth bows its head in deep reverence to honor the legacy, sacrifice, and martyrdom of Shaheed Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Khanda. He was a fearless advocate for our rights, a dedicated sewadar, and a steadfast pillar in our ongoing struggle for self-determination.
As we commemorate his life, we also reflect with profound gravity upon the deeply troubling circumstances surrounding his untimely passing. The Sikh community remains resolute in seeking truth and justice, continuing to voice our grave concerns regarding the suspected systematic targeting of Sikh activists. We formally condemn the alleged covert involvement of the Indian state, as well as the perceived complicity and ideological alignment of the former British administration under Rishi Sunak. We firmly stand against any state apparatus or diplomatic policies that seek to suppress, through coercion or harm, the legitimate and democratic aspirations of the Sikh people.
Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Khanda’s physical absence will never diminish the flame he helped ignite. His dream remains our shared destiny.
Now, more than ever, it is imperative that the global Sikh Panth comes together under the single, unifying shade of one Nishan Sahib. We must set aside our minor differences, unify our voices, and consolidate our strength to fulfill the ultimate objective for which he and countless other martyrs have laid down their lives: the realization of Khalistan, a fully sovereign and independent Sikh nation.
Let us pledge today to carry his mission forward with resilience, diplomatic integrity, and unwavering faith in Akal Purakh.
Khalsa Ji, stay in Chardi Kala.
